Growing up in Oklahoma, Kansas, and Colorado, I was raised in a gritty, hard-working family. My character was formed as I worked alongside my dad...fixing the car, cultivating the garden, and building our house. He taught me how to read past a simple cover and see the beauty in humans that the rest of the world overlooked.

I've carried those lessons forward into adulthood, and I have since come to love getting the opportunity to show the people I photograph something special about themselves...something they don't see when they look in the mirror, but their friends see and love. I love transforming average, everyday humans into cinematic stars.
